Kycon, Inc. began operations in 1988 with the goal of supplying cost effective interconnect solutions of the highest quality and with the best delivery record in the industry.

The company operates from its headquarters in San Jose, California, with sales representatives and distributors throughout Europe and Asia.

Most Product manufacturing takes place in Kycon's Asian facilities, including a new plant in China, with the San Jose plant dedicated to

prototypes and quick turn-around of short-run orders.

Kycon's impressive year-to-year increase in sales reflects the company's steadily growing product line, custom design capability, and customer service orientation.

Kycon's first products were D-subminiature connectors for the PC, peripherals, industrial control and test equipment industries. With the large variety of options and sizes available, these connectors still account for half of Kycon sales.

As industrial equipment and consumer products began using increasing amounts of electronic components, Kycon grew its product line to include circular DINs and Mini-DINs to serve these additional markets, as well as provide a fuller line to its traditional markets.

The Kycon line expanded to include a wide selection of stereo and RCA jacks and DC power connectors to serve the exploding multimedia, audio and handheld device markets. These products now account for nearly a quarter of Kycon sales and are growing as the lines continue to grow.

Most recently, Kycon has developed a full line of modular jacks to service the growing telecom/datacom market. To address the needs of this expanding market, Kycon offers connectors from standard telephone jacks to high performance modular jacks with integrated magnetics.
